If you need to drill small holes in stone or tile, then I have been testing out the tool that you need. This Bosch carbide tipped drill bit set is perfect for drilling natural stone, granite, slate, ceramic and glass tiles. These little bits are handy if you need to drill through tile to hang bathroom or kitchen hardware on the wall, hang mirrors or frames on tile/stone walls, drill through tile to mount base cabinets for a kitchen island, and the list goes on.

The kit I’m reviewing has bit sizes: 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″, and 5/16″. If you need larger sizes, they do sell those too. These bits are pretty straight forward to use, they are designed to be used with your regular drill, but can be used in a hammer drill.
Testing the bits
I tested out the carbide tile bits on different tile types with great success.

Unlike a regular bit on a hard surface, the carbide tip of these bits grip the surface so the bit doesn’t skate around when you’re starting the hole. Making it so you drill the hole where you want to drill the hole!

The bits give a nice clean hole.
